        To be able to enjoy the beauty of the sunset on Paralayang Hill, you will be charged several entrance tickets. First, you must pay IDR 5.000 ticket to enter the Parangtritis Beach area.

           Then, you will be charged around IDR 5,000 for an entrance ticket to the Bukit Paragliding Area. You also need to pay a parking fee of IDR 3,000 if you bring a motorbike and pay IDR 5,000 for a car.

         Watugupit Paralayang Hill is open from 8.00 AM to 10 PM WIB. Usually, this hill starts to be crowded with visitors at 4.45 PM WIB.


Location and Route to Watugupit Paragliding Hill

        Paralayang Hill located in Giricahyo, Purwosari, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta. Fairly good road access will make it easier for you to reach this hill. Watugupit Paralayang Hill is approximately 31 km from Malioboro or the center of Jogja City. At least, it takes about an hour by motorbike and an hour and a half by car to get to this hill.

        As the name implies, Watugupit Paralayang Hill has facilities for paragliding and of course this hill is one of the main destinations for lovers of this extreme sport. The suitable sloping hill and the daytime wind at Parangtritis Beach make Paralayang Hill a very suitable place to fly a paraglider.


        To be able to enjoy the sensation of flying using paragliding, visitors need to pay approximately IDR 350,000. You will get equipment for paragliding as well as safety. You can also ask an instructor to guide you when flying if you have no experience in this sport.

        So, you don’t need to be afraid to try paragliding if you don't have experience with paragliding. Once you are in the sky, you will be greeted with beautiful views of the beach and open sea. If you want to enjoy this paragliding facility, you can come during the day because the beach wind during the day is the most suitable for paragliding.
